Kaigaman Kagara Honors the HRH Emir of Kagara, Alhaji Ahmed Garba Attahiru II, on His 50th Birthday.

By: Yahaya Zakka, Minna.

Birthdays are special occasions, especially when we take the time to reflect on the many blessings and favors from our creator throughout the years.

It is in this spirit that we celebrate the life of our esteemed Royal Father, Mallam Ahmed Garba Attahiru II, Emir of Kagara, as he reaches the remarkable milestone of fifty years.

This humble, pragmatic, and selfless servant of God has, through determination, perseverance, and dedication, surmounted numerous life challenges. Blessed by Allah, he inherited the throne of his ancestors, becoming the second Emir of Kagara.

The 50th birthday of our Emir is particularly significant, coinciding with the second anniversary of his formal coronation and the presentation of his staff of office.

Our Royal celebrant assumed the throne during one of the most challenging periods in the history of the emirate, marked by an increase in insecurity, including banditry, kidnapping, and cattle rustling, which led to the displacement of communities from their ancestral homes.

The determination and courage with which he faced these challenges are commendable.
Through his persistent appeals to the government and relevant agencies to address the heartbreaking situation facing his people, the emirate can now celebrate Eid festivities, including the traditional Hawan Daushe, after several years of suffering and trauma.

Our Royal Father, Mallam Ahmed Garba Attahiru II, has not merely assumed a passive role; he has actively sought to advocate for and solicit support from both individuals and government to improve socio-economic infrastructure and development within the Emirate.

His accessibility and responsiveness to his subjects, along with his dedication to their welfare, personal principles, and philanthropic efforts, have endeared him to his loyal constituents.

It is, therefore, fitting that we celebrate His Royal Highness not only for the fifty golden years he has spent on this earth but also for the remarkable ways he has positively impacted our beloved Kagara Emirate, its people, and indeed, humanity throughout those years.

As we commemorate your fiftieth birthday, your Golden Jubilee, it is our prayer that Allah continues to guide and protect you on the throne and bless you with many more joyful years ahead.

“Allah ja zamanin Mai Martaba, ya karama Rayuwa Daukaka, Albarka da Nisan kwana”.

May your reign in the years to come be lengthy, robust in health, and filled with Allah’s endless blessings. Happy birthday, Your Highness!

“Kaigaman Kagara, Alhaji Abdullahi Asab Garba, Director of Test and Measurement, Niger State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to all those who called, celebrated, or sent well wishes to our Royal Father on the occasion of his Golden Jubilee birthday, through whatever platform.”

“We are grateful for your love, support, and prayers, and we pray that this love, solidarity, friendship, and support for His Royal Highness continues to flourish for many years to come”.

Signed:-

Alhaji Abdullahi Asab Garba

PCN Seals 486 Pharmacy Premises for Various Offences in Niger State.   In line with its mandate, the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) has sealed 486 premises for violating relevant regulations in Niger State. This action includes the closure of 69 pharmacies, 127 patent medicine stores, and 290 unlicensed shops. Dr. Suleiman S. Ciroma, the Head of Enforcement at the PCN headquarters, shared this information during a briefing for journalists at the PCN North Central Zonal office in Minna, following an inspection exercise in the state. He reported that one individual was arrested and will face prosecution for obstructing PCN inspectors while they performed their duties. The inspection focused on key areas, including the condition of premises, personnel, pharmaceutical practices, and ethical adherence to ensure safe and standard service delivery. During the exercise, a total of 672 premises were inspected, consisting of 136 pharmacies and 536 patent medicine stores across nine local government areas: Agaie, Bida, Tafa, Chanchaga, Lapai, Paikoro, Bosso, Suleja, and Gurara. Dr. Ciroma emphasized that this rigorous enforcement initiative will be carried out simultaneously across the country to ensure that Nigerians have access to safe medicines and that minimum quality assurance standards are met. The inspections revealed numerous regulatory violations, including the illegal operation of unlicensed premises, non-compliance with established regulations, unauthorized clinical practices, sales of controlled substances, and the improper training of apprentices. The Head of Enforcement encouraged the public to recognize genuine pharmacies and patent medicine vendors by looking for their current licenses prominently displayed within their premises.   He expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the citizens of Niger State during this successful operation.   The operation aims to eliminate unauthorized pharmaceutical establishments and unqualified practitioners, ultimately helping to reduce the incidence of substandard and falsified medical products in the state and throughout Nigeria.
