Chairman of NUJ Niger Council Greets Working Journalists for Christmas and New Year

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council, has extended festive greetings to Christian faithful, particularly working journalists in the state, on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year.
In a message issued by the Assistant Secretary of the Council, Comrade Abubakar Adamu Kuta, the Chairman emphasized that Christmas is a time for reflection and celebration of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
“I would like to extend my warm wishes to all Nigerlites, especially the practicing journalists under our great union, on this significant occasion of Christmas.
Christmas is a time for love and forgiveness. I urge everyone to embody the true spirit of this season, fostering unity for the greater good of our Christian community as well as the journalism profession.
We acknowledge your incredible resilience and unwavering commitment to upholding the fundamental principles of journalism, alongside strict adherence to the ethical codes of our profession. Despite the challenging circumstances we face today, let us use these difficulties as motivation to persist in establishing developmental agendas for the growth and advancement of our state and nation.
“As we celebrate, let us continue to extend love and fellowship to our neighbors and strive to live as one united family, regardless of our social or religious differences. We should trust that God has a better tomorrow in store for us.
“On this special occasion, I hope that the genuine love we share for one another will grow stronger in 2025,” Comrade Abu Nmadu stated.
While encouraging journalists to celebrate Christmas and the New Year in alignment with the teachings of Jesus, the Chairman advised members of the fourth estate to remain vigilant and security-conscious, reporting any suspicious movements or activities to law enforcement agencies.
