Nigerian Students in Russian Risks Deportation Over NIS Failure to Renew Passports.

Nigerian Students Stranded in Moscow, Russian especially from Niger state over allged lack of materials for the printing to renewed international passports for the affected victims.

The potential deportees who are undergraduate students raised the alarm while speaking to their parents in the country however leaving the affected students in dilemma of deportation after their passport expirations.

Reports revealed that the said students international passports were due to expire this week and all efforts to renewed them have failed as the Nigeria Immigration Service in Russia allegedly claimed that the office have no materials to renewed their passports.

One of the parents who spoke with journalists in Minna, Alhaji Yakubu Tauheed Bina lamented that it will cost him over N5 million as air tickets for his son to come back to Nigeria to renew his passport.

Yakubu Tauheed Bina wondered why Nigerian Embassy in Moscow Russian has find it difficult to profer solution to such kind of challenges as if the federal government of Nigeria has not been funding the said embassy in that country.

He therefore appealed to the federal government and indigene states government to come to their aide to ensure prompt renewal and issuance of international passports to Nigerians across the world to avoid embarrassment of deportation of Nigerians especially the students.
