Niger NLC commiserates deputy governor over wife’s death
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Niger state, has commiserated with the state Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, over the death of his wife, Hajiya Zainab Garba.
Chairman of NLC in Niger, Mr Idrees Lafene, led memebers of the union to the residence of the deputy governor on a condolences visit in Minna on Wednesday.
Hajiya Zainab Garba died on Tuesday during a brief illness and had been buried according to islamic rites.
Lafene explained that the visit was to condoled the deputy governor who was from the labour family over the demise of his wife.
“We have come to condole him over the loss of his wife, this is because, the deputy governor is one of us, we come from the labour family.
“We mobilise all the labour family to condole with him and registered our sympathy, the death of deceased is a great loss,” he said.
He encouraged the deputy governor to take heart, adding that it was God that gives and takes, and that death was inevitable.
