Niger State govt dispels rumour of Gov Bago”s Sallah visit to Borgu Emirate.

The attention of the Niger State Government has been drawn to a rumour making the rounds in different social media about the visit of the farmer Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago to Borgu Emirate for Sallah celebration.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Bologi Ibrahim, to dispel the rumour said, the information is not true.
He said the farmer Governor is currently on pilgrimage in Mecca, fulfilling his religious duties and seeking spiritual fulfillment during this holy period.
The Chief Press Secretary further explained that the public will be duly informed through the official channels whenever the farmer Governor decides to visit the Emirate upon his return from the holy land.
He enjoined the public to disregard and consider as baseless the rumour.
The farmer Governor’s Spokesman also called on all the media outlets to always verify information from credible sources before going public.
He assured that the farmer Governor remains committed to serving the people with integrity and transparency.
