The Retreat which has its Theme as Redeemed to Excel started with the arrival of members to Minna central,Niger District on Thursday,28th march,2024 while corporate prayers commenced on Friday 29/03/24 by members accross various churches that made up of the New Niger District.
The National Easter Retreat according to Nigeria Daily post began formally with series of activities to mark the crucification and Resurrection of jesus Christ on friday 29 th through 31st march 2024 .
Nigeria Daily post also report that the celebration was observed with songs ,workshop and praises as well as worship by members of the church on sunday .
one of the Guest speaker,Rev Daniel Adikpe who spoke
during a sunday service held yesterday at Minna central on the topic titled :Giving and Tithing.
Arracts success; stressed the need by Christians to imbibe the spirit of giving and paying tithe
Rev Adikpe who is the Abuja south District secretary of AGN and North central National coordinator said that giving and tithing is for the work of God and development of church which he said giving by Christians is a spiritual fulifilment and biblical injuction.
The man of God who take his message from Book of Luke chapter 6 verse 38 disclosed that there is divine favour,success and blessing for givers while pointing out that the benefit for those who believe in him and gives will be uplifted by God in all ramifications
The clergy asserted further that as you open your hands to give to God with all heart of sincerity so also you will be blessed in double fold through the power of his death and resurrection.
Another speaker who speak in an interview with Newsmen shortly after preaching on the main topic for the Easter Retreat ,Redeemed to Excel in Business,Rev.Irmiya Ishiaku sahanmut urged Christians all over the world to leave whatever challenges confronting them to God as he is ever ready to fight their battle.
Rev Ishakumut who is the resident pastor of AGN mokwa 1 also appealed to all the Christians in the country not to raise arms against any body inspite of the insecurity challenges rocking the country,adding that the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ whom God has sacrifice to die for the salvation of man will set them free from all manners of trouble
