Community leaders in Mokwa urged to always preach peace amongst their subjects.

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Mokwa Division,Chief Superintendent of Police CSP ,YUNUSA Isah Wakili made the call when the Ward Head of Ndayako as well as the Sardauna of Mokwa and an Elder of Kpege communities,Alhaji Yusuf Abdulsaboor led other community Leaders to the Divisional office in Mokwa on a meeting with the DPO in his office yesterday.
He said the call became necessary in view of the fact that peace,unity and national Cohesion is prerequisit to the development of every community.
CSP Yunusa Isah Wakili noted that they should always mobilize their subjects on the need to desist from act capable of tarnishing their image and not to cause crises in their respective communities.
The Mokwa Divisional Police Officer added that peace and tranquility remain the vital ingredients for sociatal development pointing out that no meaningful development can be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour.
CSP Wakili advised the elders and community Leaders of Ndayako and kpege to monitor the movement of their children during and after schools hour in other to prevent them from joining bad peers.
The DPO in charge of Mokwa Division reiterated the committment and determination of the police to fight all forms of criminal tendencies in the local Government.
Responding,the leader of the delegation and Sardauna of Mokwa who is also an Elder from kpege community, Alhaji Yusuf AbdulSaboor Water thanked the DPO for organizing such an important meeting with them and hope it would be maintained.
The Sardauna Mokwa maintained that the two communities are predominantly farmers and will do everything humanly possible to maintain the existing peace and cordial relationship between them so as to allow peace reign supreme in the local Government
Alhaji Yusuf Abdulsaboor Water assured the DPO that they will continue to be law abiding citizens and remain peace loving communities.
