NUJ, Correspondents Chapel seeks God’s intervention for the Unity and Progress of the Union.

Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Niger state council has organized special prayer session to appreciate God and to seek intervention of Allah for unity and progress of the union and the state.
The prayer session was held at the chapel office in Minna to kick off of the New Executives with two prominent clerics include the Chief Imam of FUT Minna, Dr Shiekh Bashir Yankuzo and Overseer Mountain of Fire Ministry (MFM), Pastor Peace Ekwarede offering prayers for the union, state and the entire country.
Shiekh Bashir Yankuzo described journalism as key to the development of the nation and most ensure unity and cohesion in a truthful manner for the growth of the country.
He called on Nigerian leaders at every level to be honest, fulfil promises, transparent in their dealings if they must be reliable and trusted by the citizens, hence the problems of the society starts from the family level and we must strive to get it right from that level devoid of blaming game of governments.
On his part, the Overseer Mountain of Fire Ministry (MFM) Minna, Pastor Peace Ekwarede stressed the dangers associated with the journalism profession for stiving to exhuming the truth.
Pastor Peace Ekwarede who quoted from Sam 127 to get God involved in our activities in life especially the leaders, noting that justice, righteousness, fairness and equity should be the watch word of the led to achieve peace and progress in the society.
The duo emphasized on the fear of God by the leaders and leaving an examplary leadership adding that the truth can not die in face of the society and must be told hence
The chairman Niger state NUJ Correspondents Chapel, Comrade Yakubu Mustapha Bina appreciate the members for their trust and thanked the two men of God for their honor and prayers, while assuring of a good leadership style deserve to be emulated.
