NIGERIAN POLITICAL ELITES ARE BEREAVED OF CONSCIENCE, DEVOID OF PRINCIPLES.
The leader and convener of National Conscience Agenda, Comrade Gambo Yusuf has reacted sharply to what he calls an unpatriotic volte face of a Peoples Democratic party, PDP chieftain and Campaign Spokesman,Mr Daniel Bwala during a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
In a Press release to Newsmen in Minna today,Comrade Gambo expressed disappointment over the utterances of Daniel Bwala which he said was obviously a sudden twist from management of the political affairs of his Boss Atiku Abubakar as well as their Party,PDP.
He posited that the action of Bwala demonstrated the notorious fact that some politicians are unpatriotic, boisterous, naive and self-seeking.
The leader of the Conscience Agenda wondered why a political party leader in the capacity of Bwala could descend so low with impunity , adding that, come what may,Mr Daniel Bwala should be heard and seen protecting the PDP at all times and cost considering the roles he played in the last Presidential election.
Comrade Gambo maintained that the open declaration of Bwala against his own political party demonstrates lack of trustworthiness of political class in Nigeria which among other vices is the impediment of democracy in the country.
He pointed out that the dishonourable out-burst of Daniel Bwala in favour of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, explains how political party leaders themselves destroy their Party and leaders without consideration for original affiliation.
The leader and convener of the National Conscience Agenda in Niger State, further submitted to doubt, if the spokesperson of Atiku campaign organization had worked sincerely for the success of the Party and that he would not have had reasons to suddenly attach himself to the President on frivolous excuses.
” for Bola Tinubu to act decisively on any perceived corrupt allegations to Bwala’s admiration, the President was just performing his duty which should not be taken as extraordinary ” he cautions.
He then enjoined politicians to always be guided by their conscience while consciously taking political decisions above material quest for a corrupt free society.
The Conscience Agenda however, passionately called on the former vice president,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to redefine his partners and be vigilant if he is still interested in politics.
