COAS commissions officers residential apartments in Niger State,harps on professionalism.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Major General T. A. Lagbaja has charged the  military to be more professional in the discharge of their responsibility.

The Chief of Army Staff stated this on Tuesday during the 2023 TRADOC Merit Award held in Minna.

The Chief of Army staff  who was represented by the Chief of Training Army Headquarters,  Major General S. G. Mohammed, said, ” the military will continue to improve on means of enhancing efficiency and Professionalism through training”.

He commended the Commander, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) for improving on the welfare of men and officers of the military in his command  especially in ensuring the completion  of residential quarters for officers in the barracks.

He explained that the military will continue to honour officers who have distinguished themselves in training and in operations, adding,  ” the various training of officers is aimed at improving professional transformation of Nigeria Army and to promote healthy competition “.

Speaking earlier,  the Commander TRADOC,  Major General K. O. Aligbe expressed appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff for giving priority to the welfare of serving and retired military personnel.

Major General Aligbe said that TRADOC is committed to training of mission capable troops , adding that the award ceremony is in honour of those that performed excellently in their promotion examinations.
