My Govt.will Provide needed amenities,shall be all inclusive – Ayuba Katako.
Executive Chairman Rafi local government area of Niger State, Alhaji Ayuba Usman Katako has reiterated his administration commitment to provide the needed amenities that will improve the well-being of the people of the area.
He said his administration will not relent in its preparedness to continue to better the lots of the people with the provisions of social and economic development that will encourage speedy development.
According to the council chairman, his administration in the last one year has provided medical equipment to some primary health centers in the rural areas and provided learning and instructional materials to some primary schools in Rafi local government area.
Speaking in an Interview with newsmen at the weekend in MinnaAlhaji Usman Ayuba Katako stated that the gesture was aimed at fulfilling his campaign and electioneering promises to his electorates and the people of Rafi local government.
He noted that with the meager resources made available to the council, he was able to purchase substantial amounts of drugs and some medical equipment to all the rural health care centers in local government and bought learning and instructional to some primary schools across the rural communities of the local government.
Also the council chairman disclosed that as part of his efforts to better the lots of the people, he had expended closer to N10 milion towards empowering women and youths in engaging themselves in ventures that make them self-reliant .
Speaking further, he told the Journalists that his council will continue in his determination to improve the quality of living to the people of Rafi local, particularly the rural dwellers his council will not relent in ensuring the security and safety of the rural areas.
Already, according, the council under his leadership has harmonious relationships with relevant security agencies in the council in ensuring the Protection of lives and property of the rural area who have hitherto suffered untold Insecurity as a result of incessant banditry attacks on the rural communities.
Assuring that his administration will continue to partner with security agencies in the local government to ensure the safety and security of the citizens stressing the need for support and cooperation of the people to extend the hands of fellowship to the security operatives in the areas by reporting suspicious movements for prompt action.
” Security is the collective responsibility of everybody. I want to appeal to the people of Rafi local government to partner with security agencies in the area by reporting strange movements in their communities to the appropriate authorities for prompt action” he pointed out.
He commended the security operatives in the area for their tireless efforts in ensuring the security in the area assuring that he will continue to support them even with the lean resources of the council to enable perform their duty.
