Mandela Burukutu Joint in Minna Closed others warned to relocate to 8km radius.
Liquor vendors operating in Minna and it environs have been given now till 31 December 2023 to stop all forms of Alcohol business in the prohibited area or face full wrath of the law.
In a letter of relocation served liquor vendors in Minna and it enirons by the Niger state liquor lincese and prohibition board, the secretary who made it available to Newsmen,stated that the relocation had become necessary due to frequent complains received from the immidiate community and the vendors none adherance to the regulations therein issuance of the lincese.
The Secretary of the Board Mallam Ibrahim Muhammad Bonu also advised liquor vendors to relocate to outside Minna city which is better for their beer business before their license to operate for the year 2024 can be renewed.
According to the notice,failure of any liquor vendors to relocate the board would be left with no option than to apply the appropriate section 12 of the law establishing Niger State liquor sells and prohibition board.
Mallam Ibrahim Bonu, disclosed that so far John Pex liquor joint Kontagora and Mandela Burukutu joint in Minna have been closed indefinitely and warned those patronizing them to stay away.
He further disclosed that Sacarl quest inn flamingo area have also been closed, he advised that any liquor vendors relocating to a new area should adhere strictly to the eight kilometer (8km) radius from the state Post office.
According to the notice,those who would like to operate within maitumbi should operate in Gurusu village,Chanchaga area should be after the bridge,Bida road area should be Dama village and those who are willing to operate within Bosso axis should go to Maikunkele town,stressing that the Board should be informed for assessment and proper guadance before erecting any structure,he added.
