BLG Council Chairman tasks Ward and Units Palliative Committee to adhere to the distribution formula.
Bosso local government Palliative distribution Committee have commences distribution of the commodities to various Wards in the area with a call on the members to adhere strictly to the Palliatives distribution formula agreed upon .
The Chairman of Bosso Local Government council who also serves as the Palliative Committee Secretary Hon. Ladidi Bawa Bosso stated this while addressing Journalists before the commencement of the distribution exercise which took place at the Local government Secretariat on Friday.
The Chairman disclosed that the Committee had received one hundred million naira from the state government to purchase grains to be shared as Palliative to all the two hundred and fourty nine [249]polling units in the Local Governments area.
According to Her, it was unanimously agreed by the stakeholders that the amount be used to purchase grains,hence the Committee purchased one thousand bags of 50kg of rice at the rate of 49,000.00 each ,amounting to 49 million naira, Indomine noddles 5,229 cartoons, amounting to twenty seven million one hundred and ninety eight naira and spaghetti amounting to twenty three million eight hundred and twenty nine naira to be shared among the polling units.
The Chairman then warned against diversion of Palliative adding that any member of the committee found not complying to the sharing formula will be handed to the law enforcement agency for necessary action.
He disclosed that the council have concluded arrangement with Security operatives to provide security for each truck conveying Palliative to each polling units to avoid diversion,he added.
