Community leader commends Taraba state Governor free education scheme

A public affairs commentator Mallam Musa Ibrahim Yelwa has applauded the governor of Taraba state Dr Agbu Kefas for his recent initiatives in the education sector.
The governor’s decision to declare free education from primary to secondary school according to Mallam Yelwa is seen as a significant and welcome step towards improving access to education for all children in the state.
Additionally the governor has also announced a reduction in tuition fees for Taraba State University by 50 Percent.
This move comes as a response to the recent removal of oil subsidy by the Nigerian government which has resulted in increased economic challenges for many individuals and families.
“By reducing the financial burden on students the governor aims to ensure that higher education remains affordable and accessible to aspiring students”.added Alhaji yelwa
He said the actions by the governor has highlighted a commitment to prioritizing education and addressing the financial constraints faced by students and their families.
“It is hoped that these efforts will lead to an increase in enrollment rates and ultimately improve educational outcomes in Taraba state”.
Musa Ibrahim further mentioned that the development in Taraba state’s education sector has gained positive attention as it addresses the issue of affordability and creates opportunities for more students to pursue their academic goals without financial constraints.

Yelwa further mentioned that Governor Kefas as a core Military strategist with exemplary leadership qualities will initiate various initiatives to enhance the quality of education and other developments in Taraba State.
These include upgrading infrastructure providing necessary resources to schools and promoting regular teacher training programs to improve teaching standard
Yelwa who commended the giant stride of the Governor of Taraba state as a roadmap to the development of the state, however suggest for Governor Kefas to first prioritize Improving infrastructure that will attract investment spur economic growth and enhance the quality of life for the people of Taraba state.
2. Enhance revenue generation: Explore opportunities to diversify the state’s revenue sources by promoting agriculture tourism and other viable industries. Encourage public-private partnerships to attract investment and create job opportunities.
Enhance the efficiency and transparency of government processes. Streamline bureaucratic procedures and eliminate unnecessary red tape to attract investment and foster a favorable business environment.
He further said the Governor should endeavour to address ethno-religious tensions and promote harmonious coexistence among different groups within the state, thereby encouraging dialogue and foster a sense of belonging among all residents to promote peace and stability.
Other factors the Governor should look into according to Alhaji Yelwa includes investment in education and skill development which the Governor has already started, so as to also Improve the state’s educational system by investing in infrastructure providing quality education and promoting vocational training and skill development programs. This will empower the youth with necessary skills and promote economic growth.
Foster a positive working relationship with civil servants and other key stakeholders. Encourage teamwork professionalism and accountability among government officials to ensure effective service delivery.
Promote agricultural practices by providing necessary support and incentives to farmers and improve access to modern farming techniques including fishing ,This will boost food security reduce poverty and create employment opportunities in rural area
