Certificate of Return, Governor -Elect Umaru Bago Promises to run an all inclusive government
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, have issues certificate of return to the Niger State Governor-Elect, Umar Mohammed Bago of the All Progressive Congress (APC), and the Members-Elect of the State House of Assembly.
The REC,Ahmed Yusha’u Garki speaking at the presentation ceremony stated that the process is a constitutional requirements as enshrined in the electoral Act to further strethened democracy and good governance in the country.
The REC while congratulating them for emerging winners at the general election, tasked them to discharge their constitutional mandate as in the 1999 constitution as amended and to ensure a participatory governance in the State.
In his speech during the presentation,the Governor-Elect Rt Hon Umaru Mohammed Bago commend the Sportsmanship exhibited by his opponent the opposition,People’s Democratic Party PDP candidate, Alhaji liman Kantigi during and after the election,”he have exhibited real senses of maturity by calling me to congratulates me when results was announced, I urged politicians to emulate him as there is always another Chance ‘.
He mentioned that area he will lay emphasis in his administration is security amongst other adding that he will run an all inclusive government and make sure that those who participates in the struggle are taking along.
He assures that if he fully assumes office as Governor,Youth restiveness and thugry shall be a thing of the past, adding that he would do his best to gainfully engage Youth’s in skill acquisition with the hope that it will enable them be employers of labour .
