Two Remanded in Custodial Center for Duping Job Seeker’s in Niger state .

Two syndicates that specializes in issuing fake appointment letters of the Niger state Judiciary for payment have remanded in correctional facility by the Minna Chief Magistrate Court 2 Tunga.

The two syndicates were arrested by the Operatives of the state investigation and intelligent Bureau (SIIB), after a complaint was forwarded to the commissioner of police by the out going chief Registrar of the Niger state High court Alhaji Jibrin Abubakar Zabbo.

Upon the receipt of the complained the Operatives of the SIIB swung in to action and effected the arrest of Mohammed Usman of Avenue area of Bida and Baba Ndanusa of Darachita area of Bida while Musa Mohammed a staff of Federal Polytechnic Bida now on the run.

They were remanded by the presiding chief Magistrate Hajiya Fati Hassan Umar, on four count charges which bothered on criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust cheating, and criminal misapriopriation

According to the police Prosecutor, Sergeant Lohfe Jacob the four count charges were punishable under sections 97, 312,322 and 309 of the penal code.She told the court that on the 30th of November,2022, the chief Registrar of the Niger High court Alhaji Jibrin Abubakar Zabbo had reported to the commissioner of Police Niger state, through a petition that some syndicates have conspired among themselves in the Niger state judiciary service Commission (NJSC), job racketeering.” On the receipt of the petition, police Operatives from SIIB swung into action tracked, trailed,and effected the arrest of you Mohammed Usman of Bida town and you Baba Ndanusa of Darachita area of Bida”.

During police investigators, according to her,they all confessed in their statements that they conspired and connived with one Musa Mohammed, a staff of Federal Polytechnic Bida now on the run and issues fake appointment letter to hundred numbers of unsuspecting job seekers in Bida town.

The prosecutor further information revealed that the defendants connived among themselves to collect money from their victims ranging from
N12,000,N20,000,N25,000 N30,000 and N70,000 each respectively which a total sum of N2 milion was said to have been collected ” by you and converted it to your own personal pocket”

When the charges were read to them by the presiding chief Magistrate, Hajiya Fati Hassan Umar they all pleaded not guilty while the prosecutor told the court that investigation into the matter had commence and she requested the court to remand the two defendants in correctional facility to enable the police to effect the arrest of the fleeing one.

While granting the request of the prosecutor the chief Magistrate then adjourned the case till third January while they should be kept in the costodial facility.
