Over one hundred Politicians defects to PDP in Niger,Guber Candidate Vows to fix Minna-Bida road in 100 days if elected.
The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State, Alhaji Isah Liman Kantigi on Saturday during the official flag off his 2023 gubernatorial campaign in Bida assures that if elected in his one hundred days in office, he will fix the 87 kilometer Minna-Bida road.
Liman Kantigi while addressing the crowd that filled the Bida township stadium, Bida Niger state, he promised to ensure total peace, improve security, and general development in the state when elected.
Kantigi “I pledge to continue on the path of peace, food security, advancement in education and ensure a robust security management system.”
The PDP Governatorial candidate Isa Liman Kantigi urged the electorates in the state to get their PVCs and ensure they vote him and other candidates into power, he said “I will fix all the abandoned projects initiated by his predisesors’.
In his Speech at the flag off ceremony, the State Chairman of the Party, Barrister Tanko Beji charged Niger lites to vote all candidates of the PDP for a better Niger state.
The former Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu in his goodwill message reminds the people that, when he was Governor between 2007 and 2011 the people did not appreciate his good works but now, they are crying calling for rescue.
Babagida Aliyu stressed that”the only way to rescue Niger state is to vote in Abubakar Atiku as President, Kantigi as Governor and other candidates vying for various positions”.
“We have heard Buhari said top to bottom, now we’ve seen how APC has taken us truly from the top to bottom. But we, as PDP we will return our country back to where they met it and rebuild on it.
“The APC government stopped scholarship, free education and ruined our educational system, but when we emerge, we will reintroduce free education”.
“When PDP come back everything will level up, especially the prices of goods and services”.
Highlights of the event was the burning of brooms, symbolizing the defection of over one hundred persons to the PDP and celebration of APC’s defeat in advance.
Amongst those present are former Governor of Niger state, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu, Prof Jerry Gana, former Deputy Governors Dr. Shem Nuhu Zagbayi and Amb. Hon. Ahmed Musa Ibeto who recently decamped from the APC.
Other dignitaries are chairman of the PDP in Niger State, Barrister Tanko Beji, Senator Zaynab Kure, wife of late Governor Abdulkadir Kure, former Minister Abubakar Achituwo, all PDP gubernatorial aspirants.
