RESIDENT DOCTORS PARTNER NCoS NIGER STATE COMMAND ON INMATES HEALTH CARE DELIVERY:

The Controller of Corrections, Nigerian Correctional Service, Niger State command, CC Ogunleye Seyi Oladipupo, has received the leadership of the Association of Resident Doctors {ARD], Niger State chapter, on a courtesy call at the state command Headquarters, Minna, Tuesday 28th April, 2026.
The delegation, led by the ARD president, Dr. David Ese who was represented by the secretary of the association Dr. Yusuf Yakubu Azekpili, said the visit was to strengthen partnership with the Nigerian Correctional Service in the areas of medical outreach, and specialist care for inmates in Niger State.
Dr. Ese commended the command for maintaining basic health care for inmates despite challenges, and expressed the association’s readiness to support with voluntary medical missions, mental health interventions, and emergency response for both inmates and staff of the command.
In his response, CC Ogunleye Seyi Oladipupo, thanked the resident Doctors for their interest in inmates welfare and described the visit as “timely and strategic.” He assured the delegation of the command’s commitment to inter agency collaboration in line with the section 2(1) and 10(g) of the Nigerian Correctional Service Act, 2019 which prioritizes inmates health and rehabilitation.
CC Ogunleye, added that his doors are always open to collaborative relationship with key partners such as the Association of Resident Doctors {ARD]. this, he further stated is in accordance with the renewed and transformative vision of the Controller General of Corrections Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, MFR, mni policy thrust.
Present at the courtesy call were the ACC Human resource, and other senior officers of the command. The visit ended with a group photograph.
