NORTH CENTRAL APC SUPPORT GROUPS COUNCIL REAFFIRMS GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION DRIVE

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Groups Council, North Central, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening party structures, deepening grassroots mobilisation, and consolidating support for the APC-led government ahead of future political engagements.

This formed the crux of a world press conference addressed by the Deputy Director General of the Council, Alhaji Lameen Aliyu, on Tuesday, at the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) Office, Maitama, Abuja.

Addressing journalists, party leaders, and stakeholders, Alhaji Lameen Aliyu said the conference was convened to restate the Council’s purpose, vision, mission, programmes, and achievements, while also addressing critical issues surrounding the forthcoming party primaries and governance within the North Central region.

He described the Council as a strategic coalition of support groups and committed party stakeholders established to serve as a bridge between the party leadership, government institutions, and the grassroots.

According to him, the Council’s vision is to build a vibrant, united, and highly effective political support architecture capable of promoting progressive governance and sustained electoral success for the APC in the North Central zone and across Nigeria.

Alhaji Lameen noted that since inception, the Council has undertaken a wide range of impactful programmes, including membership registration drives, advocacy visits, stakeholder consultations, town hall meetings, media engagements, youth and women mobilisation initiatives, and grassroots sensitisation campaigns.

He said these activities have led to the successful harmonisation of several support groups across the North Central states into a more coordinated and formidable political platform.

The Deputy Director General also commended the APC leadership for its approach to the forthcoming party primaries, describing efforts toward fairness, transparency, inclusiveness, and internal democracy as highly commendable.

He urged aspirants and party faithful to uphold discipline, loyalty, and sportsmanship in the interest of party unity and electoral success.

Speaking on governance, Alhaji Lameen lauded the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as bold reforms and developmental programmes under the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, housing, youth empowerment, and social welfare.

He stressed that one of the Council’s major responsibilities is to effectively propagate government achievements to the grassroots through strategic media engagement, digital advocacy, and direct community mobilisation.

The Council equally applauded governors across the North Central states for visible strides in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and rural development.

Special commendation was also extended to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for the ongoing transformation and urban renewal projects in Abuja.

Reaffirming the Council’s commitment, Alhaji Lameen called on party faithful, youths, women, and stakeholders across the region to remain united and steadfast in support of the APC.

> “Together, we shall continue to work for unity, progress, and victory,” he declared.
