Tragic Incident in Yobe: Woman Allegedly Kills Husband Over Food Dispute.

In a shocking turn of events, Hadiza Mamuda, a 35-year-old housewife, is alleged to have killed her husband during a domestic dispute over food. The incident occurred in Garin Abba village, located within the Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State.
According to reports from the Yobe State Police Command, Mamuda is accused of fatally striking her husband with a piece of wood during a heated argument. The police confirmed the incident through a statement issued by SP Dungus Abdulkarim, the Public Relations Officer of the Command.
“Investigation is underway, and the suspect will be arraigned in court subsequently,” the statement read, highlighting the gravity of the situation. The victim, who is described as a polygamous husband, leaves behind two wives and five children, among whom is Mamuda.
In light of this tragic event, the State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ado, emphasized the urgent need for community initiatives aimed at addressing domestic violence and abuse.
He called upon religious leaders and community stakeholders to enhance awareness campaigns focused on the dangers of physical violence in marital relationships.
“The Command remains committed to maintaining security and safety for all citizens,” Ado added, underscoring the police’s dedication to preventing similar incidents in the future.
