Governor Umar Bago Mourns Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
In a message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago described Dantata’s death as a significant loss to the nation.Â
The Governor recognized Dantata as a prominent business mogul, philanthropist, and elder statesman, and he reflected on Dantata’s contributions to Nigeria’s socio-economic growth through his efforts to empower many individuals.
Governor Bago highlighted Dantata’s role as a promoter of an endowment fund under the Kano State Foundation, which supports educational initiatives and provides grants to small-scale entrepreneurs in Kano.Â
He noted that Dantata served as the Commissioner for Planning and Development in Kano State from 1967 to 1972, making notable contributions to both the public and private sectors.
Emphasizing Dantata’s lasting legacy, the Governor acknowledged the impact of his selfless service and his role in nurturing numerous successful businesspeople.
Offering condolences to the Kano State government and to the immediate and extended families of Alhaji Aminu Dantata, Governor Bago encouraged them to accept his passing as part of Allah’s will, finding comfort in the knowledge that he lived an accomplished life.
He prayed for Allah to forgive any shortcomings of the deceased, reward his good deeds with Aljanna Firdausi, and provide solace to all who mourn his loss.
