NSP foundation donates food items to flood Mokwa victims in Niger state

NSP foundation donates food items to flood Mokwa victims in Niger state

The North South Power Foundation (NSPF) has donated essential food items worth millions to victims of the recent flood disaster in Mokwa, Niger State.

Mr Hassan Abdullahi, Consultant on Corporate Social Responsibility for North South Power Foundation, disclosed this while handling the relief items to the Niger state government.

He disclosed that the donated items includes 50 bags of 25kg rice, 50 bags of 25kg beans, 50 bags of 10kg semovita, 50 cartons of spaghetti, 50 bags of salt, 50 cartons of Maggi, 50 gallons of 5kg Kings oil, and 50 gallons of 5kg palm oil.

Hassan Abdullahi noted that the donation aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced families.

“We extend our deepest condolences to you and the people of the Mokwa community, may the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace,” he said.

He said since the inception, the company has spent over N1 billion on corporate social responsibility within host communities in Shiroro and Munya and also supported IDPs.

Receiving the relief items on behalf of the Niger state government, Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed, Commissioner, Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management, appreciated the effort and concern of the foundation… the relief items would be delivered to the victims.
