We have 100% compliance in NLC strike in Niger state -TUC
The Chairman of Trade Union (TUC) in Niger state, Comrade Ibrahim Gana, said there is 100% compliance of both Federal and State workers on the ongoing Nigerian Labour Congress NLC nationwide strikes in the state.
Comrade Ibrahim Gana made this known while briefing journalists shortly after going round to monitor compliance in Minna, the state capital.
He members of the organised labour did not struggle with people in their offices this time around unlike in the paste.
According to him, this is a fantastic strike we have ever had, the level of compliance is 100% we didn’t have to struggle with people in their offices this time around.
“Just a circular we released that workers should comply with national directive of nationwide strike, both NLC and TUC and virtually everywhere we have gone, we have seen 100% compliance.
Gana the level of compliance indicates that workers are beginning to listen to the labour leaders and also understanding the yearnings of the union in the country.
He said both Federal and State organisations complied with the strike which will continue until the union received further directives from the national body.
Places shut down by labour leaders General Hospital Minna, Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Federal Inland Revenue and the Niger State High Court.
Other places visited by the labour officials are the Niger state House of Assembly, the State Secretarate, Office of the Secretary to the Niger State Government and Office of the Niger State Deputy Governor.
