Bida Local Government Chairman Donates Materials to Support Graveyards,Vows Monthly Assistance

The Executive Chairman of Bida Local Government Area Council, Rt. Hon. Usman Mohammed Manko (Danmajen Nupe), has supplied wooden materials (planks) and burial garments to aid graveyard activities across Bida. This initiative underscores his administration’s dedication to humanitarian service and supporting public institutions.
The items were handed over at Banma Cemetery, designated as the central collection and distribution point. They are intended for use in various significant graveyards within Bida metropolis.
Representing the Chairman, the Chief of Staff, Shehu Alhaji Kolo, announced that the Council has approved the ongoing monthly provision of such materials to ensure smooth graveyard operations throughout the Local Government. He also confirmed that the salaries of Bida graveyard workers are paid promptly, with December 2025 salaries already settled.
Shehu Alhaji Kolo reaffirmed the Chairman’s commitment to service, responsibility, and the welfare of Bida residents.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Cemeteries Committee, Mallam Hassan Taye, Chairman of the Bida Cemeteries Committee and Chief Imam of Abdulrahman bn Awf Jumu’ah Mosque, along with Mallam Abdulrahman, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture.
Mallam Hassan Taye remarked that he did not expect such prompt support, especially shortly after discussing graveyard challenges with the Chairman. He praised the swift response as a sign of responsive, people-focused leadership.
He also prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection over the Chairman, commending his dedication to accountable and compassionate governance.
