Prof. MB Nuhu Congratulates Newly Elected Chairmen of Chanchaga, Shiroro Local Government Councils
Prof. Muhammad Bashar Nuhu, former Commissioner for Tertiary Education in Niger State and Executive Director (Finance) at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Mustapha Jibrin Alheri and Hon. Isyaku Bawa Kuta, the newly elected Chairmen of Chanchaga and Shiroro Local Government Councils, respectively. Their elections reflect the will and confidence of the people in their ability to provide purposeful leadership.
In a message conveyed through his Special Assistant (Special Duties), Alh. Yahuza Isah Erena, Prof. Nuhu praised Dr. Alheri’s election as “apt and timely,” based on his extensive track record of community service and grassroots mobilization.
He lauded Dr. Alheri’s perseverance and dedication throughout his political journey, considering his victory a well-deserved recognition of his commitment to public service.
Prof. Nuhu urged Dr. Alheri to foster inclusivity in his administration, emphasizing the importance of accommodating diverse opinions regardless of political affiliation.
He stressed that unity, transparency, and collective participation are vital for effective governance and sustainable community development.
As the Shatiman Minna, Prof. Nuhu expressed confidence that Dr. Alheri would leverage his experience to implement impactful projects aimed at improving the living standards of Chanchaga residents.
In addition, Prof. Nuhu congratulated Hon. Isyaku Bawa Kuta on his election as Chairman of Shiroro Local Government Council, commending the peaceful conduct of the elections and the electorate’s overwhelming support.
He encouraged Hon. Bawa Kuta to see his victory as a divine responsibility and a commitment to service, highlighting the critical role of grassroots governance in solidifying democracy and promoting sustainable development.
Prof. Nuhu emphasized the need for Hon. Bawa Kuta to adopt inclusive leadership and ensure that government initiatives reach the most vulnerable populations within his local government area.
“Your election is not just a victory for you and the APC but a victory for the people, whose aspirations must remain your top priority,” he stated.
The Executive Director also recognized the proactive efforts of the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, and the APC leadership in facilitating a people-centered governance approach that contributed significantly to their electoral successes.
Prof. Nuhu applauded party stakeholders, loyal supporters, and the electorate for their peaceful behavior throughout the electoral process, describing it as a model of democratic maturity and political harmony.
He prayed for divine wisdom and strength for both Chairmen-elect as they prepare to assume office, expressing optimism that their tenures will usher in greater peace, unity, and accelerated development for Chanchaga and Shiroro Local Government Areas.
