Niger State Sector Command of FRSC Launches Public Awareness Campaign to Enhance Road Safety.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) RS7.2 Niger State Sector Command has announced the deployment of personnel and Special Marshals across major highways and crash-prone areas in the state as part of its 2025 Ember Months public enlightenment and sensitization campaign.
Sector Commander Aishat Saadu addressed journalists, emphasizing that this year’s theme, “Take Responsibility for Your Safety: Stop Distracting Driving,” highlights the significant impact of human factors on road crashes.
She pointed out that drivers behavior is a fundamental element in determining safety on the highways, underscoring the responsibility drivers have in preventing accidents.
In line with the commitment to achieving the desired outcomes of the campaign, the Niger State Command has implemented several actionable measures.
These include enhancing personnel deployment on major highways and conducting awareness rallies at motor parks statewide, aimed at educating both motorists and the general public about safe driving practices.
Aishat also took the opportunity to express gratitude to the Niger State government for its support in helping the corps fulfill its mandate in the state, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in promoting road safety.
