The Coordinator of Bago Ruga-Ruga, Alhaji Hassan Usman Shiroro (Wakilin Fulani Minna), has announced the launch of a scholarship program aimed at supporting educational pursuits in the health sector for approximately fifty students.
The initiative was officially unveiled during a flag-off ceremony held in his office, located opposite the Farm Center in Minna. Alhaji Nafiu Hassan, who represented Alhaji Hassan Shiroro at the event, emphasized that this initiative seeks to give back to the community and assist less privileged individuals who demonstrate a commitment to furthering their education and meet the necessary admission requirements.
In his address, Hassan highlighted the collaboration with Great Success College of Health and Technology to facilitate scholarships for the selected students. He urged parents to prioritize their children’s education and encouraged students to take their studies seriously, stressing that the primary goal of the scholarship is to foster self-reliance, as government resources alone cannot accommodate the job needs of all citizens.
Hassan also clarified that the scholarship will cover the duration of the students’ studies at the Great Success College of Health and Technology.
During the event, Mr. Jafar Dabawu Abdullah, a representative from the institution, noted that students would have the opportunity to study various health fields based on their performance in an upcoming aptitude examination conducted by the school management.
Furthermore, Mr. Dabawu confirmed that the school would be responsible for covering tuition fees for the selected students, while Alhaji Hassan Usman Shiroro will provide support for accommodation, feeding, and educational materials for all beneficiaries.
