OFFICE OF THE ACCOUNTANT GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION ANNOUNCES RESOLUTION PLAN FOR DELAYED SALARY PAYMENTS IN JUNE 2025.
The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has issued an official statement regarding the recent concerns surrounding the non-receipt of June 2025 salaries for certain Federal Government employees, particularly those with accounts at Zenith Bank Plc.
In response to numerous complaints, the OAGF conducted an investigation that revealed a technical network glitch during the salary processing phase at the bank. This disruption has significantly affected salary disbursements across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
Recognizing the importance of timely salary payments for public servants, the OAGF expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by this incident. “We understand the anxiety and frustration many employees are experiencing,” said a representative from the OAGF. “We are fully committed to resolving this matter as quickly as possible.”
The OAGF is actively collaborating with relevant stakeholders and service providers to ensure that the affected salary payments are processed without delay. Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations, emphasized that immediate measures are already being implemented to address this issue.
“We want to reassure all affected employees that we are fully aware of the situation, and resolving it is our top priority,” Mokwa stated. “We urge employees to remain patient as we diligently work to restore normalcy.”
The OAGF remains dedicated to maintaining transparency and efficiency within its payroll operations, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of Federal Government employees. As developments unfold, the OAGF promises to keep all stakeholders informed about progress in resolving the salary payment issues.
Employees are encouraged to stay connected and reach out for any updates as the OAGF navigates this challenging situation.
