Governor Bago Expresses Sympathy to Mokwa Residents Affected by Devastating Flood.

Niger State Governor Umaru Bago has expressed his deep sympathy to the people of Mokwa Local Government Area following a devastating flood that resulted in the loss of lives and extensive property damage.
In a statement released through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor described the incident as heartbreaking and tragic, particularly due to the significant loss of life and property.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families affected and prayed that Allah grants the deceased Aljanna Firdausi and provides a swift recovery to those injured.
Governor Bago has directed the Niger State Emergency Management Agency and other relevant stakeholders to take immediate action to assess the situation and determine the extent of the destruction in order to provide necessary assistance.
He urged the residents of Mokwa to remain calm, assuring them that the State Government will work diligently to ensure everyone’s safety.
The flood disaster severely impacted Tiffin Maza and Anguwan Hausawa Communities in Mokwa town after several hours of heavy rainfall, resulting in tragic losses and many buildings being submerged.
