Christmas/New Year 2025 Goodwill Message from MHWUN.
On behalf of the State Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, Niger State, Comrade Usman Abubakar Dabban, and all members of the union, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and warm wishes to our dedicated and proactive farmer Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, and indeed all Nigerlites, especially our Christian faithful, on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year 2025.
As we celebrate the festive Yule Tide period of Christmas and New Year, it is a time to acknowledge and appreciate Almighty God for all the blessings and support we have enjoyed in our lives. While we join our Christian brothers and sisters in celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us continue to pray for peace, good health, prosperity, and harmonious coexistence among ourselves, regardless of our religious beliefs.
We specifically commit our Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, to the hands of Almighty God, praying that He continues to grant them strength, sound health, and wisdom as they lead the state to greater heights.
The Medical and Health Workers Union of Niger State would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Government of Niger State for the employment of professional health workers into the state civil service—an initiative that has come at the right time.
We also extend our gratitude to the leadership of organized labor, ably represented by Comrade Idrees Lafene (NLC) and Comrade Arch Ibrahim Gana (TUC), for their proactive leadership and dedicated commitment to uplifting and supporting all affiliate members. Their efforts have led to improved attention from the government towards the growth and development of unions and workers in the state, fostering a smooth working relationship between government and labor.
Furthermore, Comrade Usman Abubakar Dabban urges all members of the Medical and Health Workers Union, as well as all civil servants, to remain dedicated and committed to their work. We should collectively pray for a wonderful and prosperous New Year 2025, where we, as Nigerlites, will live in peace and unity, enabling our farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago to actualize the New Niger Initiative Agenda.
