NOA organises road show to promote National values

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Niger has organised a road show to promote respect for the National Anthem and create awareness on the National Values Charter.

The charter, a first-of-its-kind initiative, outlines seven Nigerian government promises and seven citizen codes.

These promises include equity, democracy, entrepreneurship, employment, meritocracy, peace and security.

The Director General of NOA, Mr Lanre Issa-Onilu, emphasised the importance of recognising government promises.

Issa-Onilu, represented by Mr Simon Idoko, Deputy Director in the agency, encouraged Nigerians to be patriotic, tolerance, respect for one another, transparency, resilience, leadership and environmental awareness, known as citizen codes.

In his remarks, Malam Yahaya Gbongbo, State Director of NOA, reminded Nigerians that every obligation comes with responsibility, as enshrined in the National Values Charter.

He urged citizens to adopt these codes to enhance peace, security and economic prosperity.

The road show aimed to educate citizens on their roles in promoting national unity and development.

The road show started at Obasanjo complex through Gwari Market and terminated at NOA office along IBB Way in Minna.
