BREAKING: Office equipment and others looted as Kano protesters set NCC building on fire

Some protesters of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance have set the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) digital industrial park building on fire in Kano State.
The protesters had looted many office equipment like chairs, monitors, and others before setting the building on fire.

This was confirmed by Special Adviser Information and Strategy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a video posted.

He said; “Protesters go on rampage in Kano. Here is the gate house of the NCC set ablaze.”

Meanwhile, men of the Nigeria Police on has dispersed a large crowd of irate protesters who attempted to gain entry into the Kano State Government House.

The protesters, carrying placards with messages such as “End Bad Governance,” “Bring Back Our Fuel Subsidy,” and “Open the Border,” clashed with armed forces stationed at the seat of government.

The situation turned chaotic when some protesters began throwing stones at the security personnel who in response, shot tear gas and fired warning shots into the air to disperse the crowd.

Although no casualties was reported, many individuals were injured in the resulting stampede, while some police officers were also injured from the attack.

Authorities have since blocked all roads leading to the Government House and increased security in the area to prevent further incidents.
