No Hiding Place for Adversaries in Kontagora, Niger State -Gen. Abubakar The Commander, Corps of Artillery, Major General Zakari Abubakar, has declared that there is no longer a safe haven for criminal elements operating in Kontagora and its environs. General Abubakar made this known during a field demonstration involving the test-firing of artillery guns held at the Nigerian Army Military Training Center (NAMTA) in Kontagora. The test-firing is aimed at sending a strong message to criminal groups that the area is fully secured and under military watch. According to him, sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace. “Peace is the foundation of every meaningful development. We all have a responsibility to promote and sustain it,” he stated. General Abubakar further appealed to religious leaders to continue preaching messages of peace to their congregations, stressing that peace is a universal language that must be upheld by all.
