Stakeholders in Minna emirate strategizes to end Youth restiveness.

Stakeholders in Minna Emirate of Niger state are looking up to other alternatives way of curtailing the rampant cases of youth restiveness that have impacted negatively on the state’s economy.
Speaking during a meeting,call on the Emir of Minna, one of the stakeholders, State Attorny General and commissioner of justice , Nasiru Mohammed Muazu said security of lives and property is one of the priorities of every responsible government.
He said before now the state government has a procedure code that gives security agencies power to use reasonable powers to clampdown on miscreants who are out to disrupt the peace of law abiding citizens .
The commissioner of justice expressed worry with the way and manner miscreants brandishes dangerous weapons and attack innocent people thereby leading to serious injuries and even to some extents loss of lives a situation he described as unacceptable.
He said the perpetrators of these heinous act are not above the law, hence anyone caught indulging in such act will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
Nasiru Mua’azu Mohammed affirmed that activities of these miscreants have undoubtedly led to serious economic setback in Minna the state capital stressing that indigene of Minna are now afraid of setting up businesses in some major parts of Minna particularly in the flash points for the fear of being attacked by these miscreants , “what more of outsiders who intend to invest here, noting that some of these business premises closed as early as seven to eight pm to avoid their shops being looted by the miscreants .
Also speaking on the occasion the Convener of the meeting and the Special Adviser to the Governor on political matters and Jawon Minna, Alhaji Nma Mohammed Kolo said it is the responsibility of the stakeholders of Minna emirate to rise up to the occasion in curtailing the menace of this youth restiveness.
He said Minna in the olden days used to be one of the most peaceful place in Niger State and wondered way such beautiful attributes have been dragged in the mud.
He then advised the Authority concerned particularly Ministry of Health to check the menance of hard drugs sold in some Chemist,adding that they should come up with ways of punishment either by ceasing their operational licence.
The stakeholders meeting was held in the emirs palace to pay him sallah homage, condole him on the demise of Ubandoman Minna and to also seek his fatherly advice on how to tackle menance of youths restiveness in the emirate.
The Emir of Minna, Dr Umar Faruk Bahago in his remarks at the meeting said, the stakeholders should liase with the existing Committee set up by the Emirate council on the the similar issue to come up with a blue print on the way forward.
He further assures them of his assistance and cooperation at all time for Minna to regain it lost glory.
