NUJ Niger Council rejoices with Emir of Minna HRH Dr Umar Farouq Bahago @ 67.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger State Council, has felicitated with the Emir of Minna Dr Umar Faruq Bahago, on the occasion of his 67th birthday and 36th anniversary on the throne.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the Union, the State Secretary of NUJ Comrade Usman Chiji expressed joy and satisfaction that, the reign of His Royal Highness has witnessed peace and tranquility among diverse groups, while also attracting developmental projects to the emirate from federal, State and local governments.
The statement observed with keen interest, that despite the cosmopolitan status of Minna, the Emir has been able to entrench harmonious coexistence among the people irrespective of tribe, religion and political affiliations.
The Union described the monarch as a devoted and respected traditional ruler who is always concerned about the wellbeing of his subjects.
The NUJ appreciated the Emir for his fatherly support to the Union and hopes that, the cordial existing relationship between it and Minna emirate would be strengthened.
It then prayed God to grant His Royal Highness the wisdom and strength to continue with his services to God and humanity.
