Member Reps Lapai /Agaie,Solicits for inclusion of Lapai, Gulu and Muye signed roads Contract by the Gov.

Member House of Representative representing Lapai/Agaie federal constituency at the National Assembly, Abdullahi Mahmoud have appealed to governor Mohammed Umar Bago to consider Lapai, Gulu and Muye roads in the recently signed roads contracts by the state government.

The federal legislator made the appeal while speaking to journalists at Muye in Lapai local government area during an inspection tour of a collapsed retaining wall along River Gurara.

He lamented over the deplorable state of the roads over the years without previous administration who paid lip service or completely no attention to the plight of the motorists plying the road.

Abdullahi Mahmoud emphasized the need to take into cognisance the suffering of the citizens of this communities  noted that the route is also a short cut to Kogi state, adding that with the reconstruction of the road it would ease transportation and improve economic activities of the area.

It could be recalled that governor Mohammed Umar Bago last week signed 556 kilometer roads contracts with no fewer than 37 contractors for the construction of 257 roads in the 25 local government areas of Niger state.
