Meeting of the Implementation of the Fulako Initiative.

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago joined his colleagues from the Northern Region in a meeting held at the Vice President’s Conference hall, Presidential Villa Abuja,
The meeting Chaired by Vice President, Kashim Shettima deliberated on the implementation of the pilot programme of Fulako settlement initiative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The programme was initiated to serve as a strategic and sustainable response to the challenges of displacement caused by insecurity, especially in the Northern region of the Country.
The Fulako initiative is a non-kinetic approach which entails the construction of houses, roads, schools, and other essential facilities for those displaced as a result of insecurity.
The Vice President, Kasim Shetima implored them to work assiduously for the success of the programme which would bring overall development to the Nation.
He said the initiative was a fulfilment of one of the promises made by the President to create an environment where the prosperity of the people will not remain as a dream but a tangible reality.
Other Governors at the meeting were that of Kaduna, Benue, Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto and Katsina States.
