Col.Sani Bello foundation gives free medical treatment to the Less previeledge.

Former Kano state military Administrator and Chairman Sani Bello Foundation Colonel Sani Bello Rtd has disclosed that he finds fulfilment in seeing joy on the faces of people with various degree of illness that cannot afford medical bills being treated free of charge.
Col. Bello stated this during a free surgical festival in Kontagora local government area of Niger state been organized by the Sani Bello Foundation in collaboration with Graceland Health Development Foundation held at Kontagora General Hospital.
While appealing to wealthy individuals to always assist the poor , the former Kano state military Administrator explained that anytime he sees the sparkling smiles on the faces of the poor whom he doesn’t know and coming from various state in Nigeria,he appreciate himself and thanked God for the favours he has done to him.
According to him,” I will rather use my wealth to serve humanity in taking care of their health challenges instead of spending such resources to hold big party for dignitaries”.
The elder statesman further stated that the annual free surgical care is mark his eighty one year birthday gift to the patient and to also bring souccur and relief to them.
The Chairman Graceland Health Development Foundation Kaduna Dr Tohot Dogo in his remarks said through the 10 year collaboration with the foundationthey have successfully operated 13,000 people including major and minor surgeries such as eye surgery cataract and provision of glasses among others.
” However, what we cannot do the foundation will sponsor it to places that could be done”.
Also Speaking at the occasion, Vice Chairman of Sani Bello Foundation Dr Usman Sani Bello urged well to do individuals to compliment governments efforts in the provision of effective health care services adding that the foundation has donated an incubator to Kontagora General Hospital which had contributed immensely in saving the lives of babies.
The Director General Sani Bello Foundation Mr Zakari Ikani added that their target for this year is 350 but most often they over shoot their target to 500 in most cases .
Ailments to be treated by the foundation during the five day festival includes fibroid, appendicitis, lumps,hernia and goitre among others.
