Jawon Minna, recognizes the remarkable achievements of U-19 Badminton teem in a reception.
The Chairman,Niger State Badminton Association, Mohammed Nma Kolo,Jawon Minna has called on the well-meaning Nigerians, business and Organisations to join hands in supporting sports development in Nigeria.
The Chairman made the call at a reception in Minna Sports Club, International Badminton indoor Hall,in honour of Niger State under 19 Boys Badminton team that represented Nigeria at Benin Republic, Badminton International championship and emerged overall Champion.
He stated that supporting,sports development is not an investment alone, but an investment in the youths and the future of our society.
According to him sports provide a constructive outlet for the young generation, keeping them away from the street and discouraging their involvement in crimes and youth restiveness.
Nma Kolo disclosed that plans are underway to host a tournament by the end of this year to provide a platform for active players to showcase their talent to enable them compete at a high level.
He also stressed that the tournament will serve as a platform to identify and nurture budding talents in our communities, to ensure that the legacy of excellence in Badminton continuous to flourish in Niger state and Nigeria as a whole.
He further encourage young and the old ,to actively participate in sports activities and to embrace regular exercise as it not only promotes physical well being but also contributes to improve mental health,stress reduction and over all quality of life.
He then commend the hardworking Coach whose dedication and guidance that have been instrumental in shaping the success of the players,
