Palliative Units distribution Committee in Agaie warned to be transparent

The commissioner for Homeland security Niger state who also serves as the Chairman Committee on the distribution of Palliative  Again local government area, Hon.Bello Abdullahi Muhammad has tasked ward and Polling units Committee Members to ensure that each household is captured in the exercise.

Hon.Bello Abdullahi stated this while speaking during the commencement of distribution of palliative items to Wards executives which took place at the emir’s palace Agaie.

He stressed that there would be no special treatment as regard the distribution of palliatives as every individual regardless of political,Tribe or Religion will benefit from the materials, while assuring the entire people in the local government area of equal distribution as agreed during the stakeholders meeting.

The Commissioner further warned units distribution Committee Members to be transparent and God fearing in the discharge of the responsibility bestowed on them.

He said this Will go along way at ensuring each Household get the commodity as enshrined in the distribution template of the Mr Governor Muhammad Umar Bago.

In his Remarks, the chairman, Agaie local government, Hon.Ibrahim Halilu Sayuti said that the council received one Hundred and ten million Naira from the state government to purchase grains for distribution for the entire people in Agaie local government as palliative.

Hon.Sayuti also disclosed that the committees comprising of five people  each from the eleven wards, religious Leaders and stakeholders were formed to discussed variety of food stuff and proffer modalities for the distribution of the palliative in the area.

He further Disclosed that the items include Rice, spaghetti,Garr,i indomine noddle’s among others was purchased for the distribution exercise.

He warned against diversion of the commodity adding that any person cought would be prosecuted accordingly.

He then urge them to be transparent and adhere strictly to the distribution template agreed upon.
