We will honour Borgu zoning agreement – Niger Dep Gov

By Abubakar Hassan

The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Alh. Ahmed Mohammed Ketso has revealed that there was an agreement on zoning system between the Northern stakeholders of All Progressives Congress (APC) and that of the South when the then opposition parties merged to form the APC.

The Ahmed Ketso who is equally the state Coordinator of Tinubu-Shettima Grassroot Independent Campaign Council (ICC) made this disclosure during Mokwa local government APC critical stakeholders strategic meeting, on Wednesday.

He said the agreement of taking the leadership of the country to the South after the tenure of a Northern leader was reached in Borgu, Niger State and that they will honour the agreement by campaigning, mobilizing and voting for the APC presidential candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

He added that the Northern APC critical stakeholders were honourable people and they will honour that agreement without any ill-feelings, saying this was the reason some APC Governors from the Northern states were committed to ensuring that the agreement was honoured.

“There was agreement that after the tenure of the North, the South should produce the next president. They have given us Tinubu and we will work for his victory,” he said.

He added that even religiously honouring agreement was good and that they will never back out of it in the interest of one united and peaceful country.

On the new naira note, the state Coordinator of ICC said it was unfortunate that the policy was coming at this time, adding that it was all plan to discredit APC in the face of the electorates but that God will not let the party down as people have continue to adopt the party.

He added that the cashless policy did not affect only the masses as even the rich were also feeling the impact, but expressed optimism that it will be history if Bola Tinubu emerged victorious at the coming polls.
