NAWOJ Niger Felicitates with Christian Members, Calls for Unity and Professionalism
The Chairperson Caretaker Committee of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Niger State Chapter Dr Asabe Garba , has extended warm Christmas greetings to its Christian members, describing the season as a time for love, sacrifice, reflection and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence.
In a Christmas message signed by the Caretaker Committee Secretary Maimuna Raji Egigogo, the Chairperson, congratulated Christian NAWOJ members in the state for witnessing another Christmas and commended them for their dedication, resilience and professionalism in the discharge of their journalistic duties.
The Statement noted that the celebration of Christmas offers an opportunity for renewed faith, tolerance and unity among Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, and urged members to continue to promote peaceful coexistence through responsible and ethical journalism.
She encouraged women journalists to remain steadfast in upholding truth, balance and fairness in their reportage, while using their platforms to promote peace, justice and social development within Niger State and beyond.
It urged Christian NAWOJ members to use the festive period to pray for peace, security and progress in Niger State and the nation at large.
The Association wished all Christian members a peaceful and joyful Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year.
