Legal Community Rejoices as Colleague Released from Kidnappers
The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Minna Branch has announced the safe release of one of its abducted members, Mr. Isyaka Muhammad Danjuma, following negotiations that culminated in the payment of a ₦15,000,000 ransom. Mr. Danjuma was freed yesterday and has been reunited with his family in Ibeto.
In a statement, NBA Minna Branch Chairman Isyaku Barau, Esq., expressed heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God for His divine intervention during this difficult period.
He also commended the collective efforts, prayers, and support of members and other stakeholders.
The branch extended special thanks to the NBA Kebbi Branch, led by Chairman Barr. Aminu, whose moral and financial support proved instrumental. The Honourable Attorney-General of Kebbi State was also commended for his compassionate role in securing Mr. Danjuma’s release.
While this development marks a significant milestone, NBA officials confirmed that another colleague, Mr. Muhammad Ahmad Borgu, remains in captivity. They urged continued prayers and support to facilitate his rescue.
The legal community remains hopeful for the swift and safe return of all abducted members, and continues to call for increased efforts to combat such criminal activities.
