Niger State Governor Calls for Digitalization of Government Activities to Enhance Accountability.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has emphasized the importance of digitalizing all government operations to improve governance and promote transparency.
The governor made the statement during an eight-day capacity-building workshop at the Government House in Minna, attended by commissioner-designates, special advisers, permanent secretaries, local government chairmen-elect, and their deputies.
Governor Umaru Bago highlighted technological advancement as a driving force for cultural transformation in service delivery. He stressed that embracing digitalization can significantly reduce corruption among civil servants.
He urged participants to adopt a proactive attitude towards governance and to collaborate effectively to realize the administration’s objectives.
Furthermore, the governor emphasized the significance of leadership by example, encouraging leaders to be purposeful, intelligent, and demonstrate integrity.
Umaru Bago also underscored the importance of continuous training and retraining of workers, viewing it as vital for societal progress and good governance.
He noted that the social values cultivated through training foster better relationships and contribute to a more functional society.
