Isaac Fayose Criticizes Brother, Former Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose, Over Alleged Selfishness and Betrayal
By Our Correspondent.
Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has publicly accused his sibling of selfishness and neglecting those who supported his political journey.
The allegations were made in a video message shared on Facebook during Fayose’s 65th birthday celebration.
In the video, Isaac congratulated Fayose on reaching his milestone birthday and prayed that the spirit of selfishness would depart from him, urging him to become a better person.
He recalled the sacrifices made by family members, including their late sister Bimpe Shorinolu, who sold her land in Maryland, Lagos, in 2002 to help Fayose secure a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket.
Despite this support, Isaac claimed Fayose has now turned his back on those who stood by him, criticizing his failure to invite family members to celebrate his birthday and accusing him of betrayal.
Isaac lamented that Fayose has abandoned his political allies within the PDP, as well as his siblings and mother.
Comparing Fayose’s behavior to that of other prominent political families, such as the Edeles, the Kalu family, and the Yar’adua family, Isaac highlighted their unity and support, contrasting it with Fayose’s perceived divisiveness.
Isaac emphasized that his comments are not born out of bitterness but out of concern, urging his brother to reflect and change for the better. He assured that his family remains supportive and is praying for Fayose’s growth.
The public exchange underscores family tensions amid Fayose’s political journey, with Isaac calling for reconciliation and change.
