The National Union of Civil Engineering, Construction, Furniture, and Wood workers (NUCEFWW) Niger State Council Elects New Leadership Unopposed

The Niger State branch of the National Union of Civil Engineering, Construction, Furniture, and Woodworkers (NUCEFWW) has re-elected its executive committee without opposition, promising continued stability for the next four years.
During the 7th Quadrennial Delegates Conference held at the NLC Conference Hall in Minna, Comrade Mohammed Chado, the State Chairman, expressed gratitude to Niger State Governor Rt Hon Umaru Bago for his commitment to revitalizing the construction sector through engaging reputable companies.

Chado highlighted the numerous road projects awarded across the state, noting these initiatives exemplify the administration’s dedication to infrastructure development, economic growth, and enhancing citizens’ welfare.
He emphasized that such projects not only improve transportation but also stimulate commerce, create jobs, and elevate living standards.
The Chairman urged union members to participate actively in discussions, fostering innovative ideas to strengthen the organization and better represent its members’ interests.
Meanwhile, Comrade Usman Abubakar Dabban, Chairman of NHWUN, reminded election participants that leadership contests should be viewed as healthy competitions, with the focus on unity afterward. He underscored that elections are a routine part of union governance, necessary for leadership renewal.
Dabban encouraged candidates to build on the achievements of past leadership, stressing that continuity is vital for meaningful progress within the union.
The elected officials, all returned unopposed, are as follows:

3. Comrade Isaac Joseph — Treasurer
4. Comrade Amadu Ataba — Financial Secretary
5. Comrade Myiyongu Peter — Assistant Secretary
6. Comrade Daniel Adejo — Trustee I
7. Comrade Umar Musa — Trustee II
8. Comrade Amos Bawa — Ex Officio I
9. Comrade Sunday Sony — Ex Officio II
10. Comrade Esther Ibrahim — Women’s Representative.
