Niger state Beneficiaries Receive Economic Relief Debt Card Distribution Continues.

The Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Economic Shocks Response Initiative has continued its debit card distribution exercise in Mokwa Local Government, with 780 beneficiaries set to receive direct financial assistance.
Honorable Hauwa Bako, Special Adviser and Focal Person National Social Investment Program, who is in Mokwa to supervise the card distribution stated that the initiative aims to cushion the effects of economic shocks on vulnerable households, by providing N75,000 to each beneficiary.
She added that Over 50,000 beneficiaries have already received their debit cards and have received N75.000 credit alerts across Niger State’s 25 local government areas, with 180,000 expected to benefit from the program in the State.
Honorable Hauwa Bako said this intervention is made easy with the commitment of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago to social intervention that will complement the state’s infrastructural development.
Dignitaries at the event, including the Director-General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency, Abdullahi Baba Arah, Council Chairman Mokwa Local Government, Jibrin Abdullahi Muregi and Ndalile of Mokwa, commended the initiative, urging beneficiaries to utilize the funds productively.
Beneficiaries including Adamu Baba and Fatima Raba said the intervention is coming at the right time when the have already resume farming.
The Renewed Hope Economic Shocks Response Initiative is part of government’s commitment to supporting poor and vulnerable household to cope with the hardship caused by the fuel subsidy removal.
