Sowore Identifies Three Most Dangerous Politicians in Nigeria

Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 general elections, Omoyele Sowore, has condemned the recent declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.

In an interview with News Central TV, Sowore labeled Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Tinubu as “the three most dangerous people in Nigeria.”

He stated, “The declaration of emergency was purely an attempt to sacrifice an entire state structure. This isn’t the first time, but it is one of the most brazen attempts. In this case, they want Wike to control one of Nigeria’s richest states, Rivers.”

Sowore elaborated that the circumstances leading to this declaration began with the appointment of Siminalayi Fubara as governor. “Everything has pointed to this moment since Fubara was appointed—or selected, whichever way you want to put it,” he explained.

According to SaharaReporters, Sowore alleged that Wike sought assistance from President Tinubu to gain control of the state from Fubara. “At a certain point, Wike reached out to Tinubu, who is his principal in this matter, to intervene and take the state from Fubara so they could seize it for themselves. That’s what they executed,” Sowore remarked.

He emphasized the need to keep an eye on Wike, Akpabio, and Tinubu due to their roles in this political maneuvering. “These three individuals—the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Nigeria’s president Bola Tinubu—are very dangerous. They have lived lives of crime and impunity and seem to have gotten away with it,” Sowore stated.

He further claimed that these figures rose to power through criminality without facing any repercussions. “What makes them different from other dangerous individuals is that they have ascended to the top through a landscape of crime and evaded consequences. That’s exactly what you are witnessing now,” he added.
