Governor Umaru Bago redeems pledge to AKUM and Newgate Universities.
Niger State Governor, Farmer Muhammed Umaru Bago has redeemed his pledges of N500 million to Abdullahi Kure University (AKUM), and N250 million Newgate Universities in the state.
The Farmer Governor presented the cheques to the Representatives of the institutions at the government house, Minna.
He also presented a cheque of N86 million as full scholarship of four years for the 86 students of AKUM.
Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago earlier promised to donate N500 million to AKUM for the successful take-off of additional six Faculties in the University, full scholarship of N1 million to each of the 86 Students of the Institution and N250 million as endowment fund to Newgate University Minna.
The Pro-Chancellor, Abdullahi Kure University, Prof. Mohammed Kuta Yahaya, while appreciating the farmer Governor for the gesture and support to the institutions presented the report of livestock development in Nigeria and the master plan of the Abdulsalami Abubakar University of Agriculture and Climate Action, Mokwa.
