Bandits Wreck Havoc on Shiroro Villages, Kill 13persons in a Fresh Attack

No fewer than Thirteen persons have been confirmed dead with many injured in the deadly attacks by bandits and kidnappers in Bassa and Anguwan Magiro in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

This was disclosed in a report signed and made available to Nigeriadailypost by the Director Media and Strategy, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Habibu Wushishi Thurday, 22nd August, 2024.

He explained that the bandits who wrecked havoc on Bassa and Anguwan Magiro villages left no fewer than three shops broken and the entire farming villages dispersed.

Wushishi said “over 12 neighbouring villages are currently in Erena IDPs camp with their numbers yet to be ascertained”

It will be recalled that hundreds of residents of Allawa and adjourning villages in Shiroro Local Government area fled on April 25, 2024 after the soldiers stationed in the community were withdrawn.

It is five months after withdrawal of soldiers from the affected areas and this has resulted to an increasing and unabated attacks from bandits and kidnappers.
